Food plays a crucial role in the lives of the residents at Grey Gables.
It's not just about providing sustenance; it's about nourishing their bodies, minds, and spirits. At Grey Gables, we include residents in the menu planning and put a huge importance on the preparation, look, and taste of food.
At Grey Gables, we have fully trained chefs who understand the importance of a full nutritious meal incorporating the main food groups at any one sitting.

How it works

A hot breakfast along with a continental breakfast is provided daily in the dining room for residents to help themselves or be served.

We encourage residents to eat in the dining room for all meals to help with social interaction and communication.

Some residents may have dietary restrictions due to medical conditions like diabetes or allergies. Grey Gables cater to these needs by offering modified meals or specialised diets, ensuring everyone receives the nutrition they need.
A pleasant dining experience
To address potential nutrient deficiencies, we may incorporate fortified foods, such as milk enriched with calcium and vitamin D, or breakfast cereals boosted with iron and B vitamins.

We understand that an attractive presentation can make a big difference. Colourful plates, appetizing arrangements, and smaller portions can be more appealing to residents, encouraging them to eat and enjoy their meals.

At Grey Gables, we have created a pleasant dining experience. Comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere make mealtimes more enjoyable and encourage social interaction among residents.

Residents are encouraged to participate in supper preparation, to ensure independence is maintained.
