Welcome to Grey Gables
Grey Gables is not a large corporate enterprise, in fact it is a singular family run care home and we have handpicked the most compassionate, professional, highly skilled team to look after all our residents and their wide range of needs.
The care home was established in the 1970's and has since grown and adapted to meet the needs of our older generations, keeping up to date with the latest advance in technology and therapies aimed at helping people with dementia.
Our activity coordinator runs targeted and fun filled events and daily tasks to gently challenge our residents physical and emotional needs.
Award Winners
We are super proud to have invested in an OMivista Interactive table which was awarded the National Dementia Care Outstanding Product Award 2018. This interactive device allows residents to play and have fun whilst encouraging movement, socialisation and communication whilst enriching cognitive therapy.
We also put a lot of time into personal recreation and down time, we love to spend time looking through photos and listening to music with our residents and love to hear stories about their lives from their families.
Facilities & Activities
Our beautiful garden is the perfect setting for relaxing on sunny days, we hold tea parties and bbq’s there in the spring and summer months and provide raised beds so our avid gardeners can continue to have green fingers all year round.
Our Chef runs a lovely kitchen with carefully planned nutritious meals and has secured a 5* Food Hygiene Rating. All dietary requirements can be catered for just speak with our team to find out more.
We love to treat our residents too a trip to the sea (it would be rude not to) the fresh air and ice creams always go down a treat! We also arrange family events throughout the year to get everyone together (we even encourage bringing in the family pet!)
